We live in a society that cheers on the “I can do it myself” and independent lifestyle. The problem is, we were never meant to live this life alone.

Find Others. What does that mean?
Life is more than, “Hmmm, looks like it’s going to be another scorcher today.” It’s more than discussing the big project deadline, how the Cardinals did, how fresh the produce looks, or how we keep weeds out of our rock lawns. Finding others is about connecting with people, building actual friendships, and living life with people….normal people, just like yourself.

How do we go about it?
Sundays are busy. Let’s face it, between getting the kids out the door, attending service, and trying to beat the Sunday rush for lunch, church can at times be a whirlwind. It is a great place to say hello, but you’re probably not going to really connect with people in the five minute span between walking through the doors and anxiously awaiting the service to start. So, the main way people really Find Others at Reveal is through the Community Groups we encourage everyone to become a part of.

What the heck is a Community Group?
It’s pretty simple, a Community Group is a group that is focused on building community. How many are in a people in a group?  Let’s say between 5 and 20. Groups meet on a regular basis and have similar interests or goals (it could be a hiking group, women’s book club, a sports group, Bible study, or just about anything else).  What happens during the meetings obviously depends on the group, but the one thing that you can always expect is people getting to know one another and friendships being developed.

Not perfect? Neither are we. Reveal is not about acting religious or pious. We are merely people, who still screw up, but are trying to move towards God. We look to Find Him in our daily lives and then share that journey with one another.

Maybe this is your week to check out a group.  Browse our groups on line or pick up a flyer on Sunday.  If you try a group and it’s not a fit, give another one a shot.
